DaVita VillageHealth complies with Medicare regulations regarding the filing and resolution of beneficiary complaints. The following information provides an overview of the options available to members. For details, please consult your Evidence of Coverage, Sections [8, 9 and 10].

These appeals and grievance processes are designed to give you an opportunity to dispute decisions made by DaVita VillageHealth about what tests, treatments services, and prescription drugs are covered or paid for under this Plan. These decisions are guided by Medicare Coverage Guidelines as well as the standard definition of what is medically necessary, appropriate, and safe. Your providers will make most decisions about your medical care. It is the role of DaVita VillageHealth to coordinate your care and help you access the services you need, when you need them.
